Middlesbrough-based Martin Mathers sepnt his early years being involved with the UK/US Hardcore music scene throughout the eighties and often attended gigs in Newcastle and Sunderland and occasionally Middlesbrough.  Fast forward to 2014 and he commences promoting live music with myself and for three years we endured many ups and downs from promoting live music on Teesside.  Towards the end of 2016 he informed me that he wanted to have a break but he wasn't dormant for long.

Together we promoted over 40 gigs.  Highlights included The BellRays, Chelsea, Ted Chippington, Gallon Drunk, The Nightingales, Roughneck Riot, The Rezillos, Sleaford Mods & Steve Ignorant's Slice of Life. He has already hosted six shows this year the highlight being Steve Ignorant's Slice of Life  back in June.  The next one features former Snuff guitarist Simon Wells.

WELD from Stockton on Tees are the brainchild of two brothers Mark & Nigel Bailey who play in a three-piece band with Nigel's son Jonathan, who designs all the band's artwork and posters.  Rather unusually they are influenced primarily by US Hardcore bands like Fugazi and Rites of Spring.   They also promote live music themselves.
